Why hire a marquee?

For the style and the more personal event you can enjoy, or simply to keep the mess out of the house.

Are marquees only for big events?

Not at all - we have party tents from £175 that we are equally as happy to supply as the largest wedding marquee with all the trimmings.

Who hires your marquees?

Everyone and anyone, individuals and companies - in fact the only thing in common is that they want the peace of mind that hiring a marquee from us provides.

Sadly I don’t live in the North East, but want to arrange a marquee?

We only supply to the North East area, but have plenty of clients who are based outside the area and even abroad, but are having an event here. This is no problem.

What about the other things I will need?

We can supply pretty much all the accessories you will need and put you in touch with other businesses whose services you might like to use and that we can recommend. We are also happy to supply accessories as a separate hire.

What information do I need to get a quote?

We can give a quote over the phone or by email with just some basic information, most importantly how many people you need to accommodate. We follow up all quotes in writing.

Is my site suitable?

Unless we have worked for you before, we always carry out a FREE SITE VISIT before accepting any booking. We also bring along portfolios of previous jobs for you to look through. You will be surprised at some of the sites that we have built on.

When do you put it up and take it down?

We work with you to choose a suitable time for both erecting and dismantling the marquee. A small party tent might be as little as an hour. For larger sizes allow a full day or more. For weddings we will always try and leave you at least one clear day before the event to allow for decoration and other suppliers to get in. Obviously your hire is for the date advised, though if you need to keep it longer, perhaps for an event the next day, just let us know. Some small charges may apply.

Who sets up the tables and chairs?

This will be down to yourself or your caterers who would usually supply the tableware as part of their package, although we can arrange these items if required.

Am I okay to use candles and allow smoking?

Yes – the marquees and linings are fireproofed, though candles need to be in holders and many of our clients choose to make their marquees non-smoking.

NB. Smoking is no longer allowed in any marquees by law. However, we can provide you with small seperate canopies for those who feel the need.

What about insurance?

We carry a multi million pound public liability cover for our part of the job. Once we leave the site, you are responsible for the equipment, just like any hire contract. However, we can direct you to insurance providers.

How much electricity do I need?

The marquee will take very little power – but your band and caterers may demand a much greater amount. If your own supply is inadequate we can arrange a generator for you.
